What Flowers Will Bloom Next Month? November 2025

Leaves of Plantain Pussytoes

Do any flowers start to bloom in November? Not really. You might have a fall-blooming camellia in your yard that might start blooming in November. Some flowers bloom all year, like dandelions and henbit.

November is still an exciting time! We are quickly approaching our peak foliage color as I type this on October 31st. It’s a great time to get outside and enjoy the beautiful leaves.

I’ve mentioned several times that some flowers that typically bloom in the spring might have one or two flowers in the fall. This week, I saw some Carolina jessamine in bloom! Take a walk and see if you can find any spring flowers!

Another thing I like to do is to try to identify the plants that are starting to grow. In the cooler months, many plants start to grow some leaves close to the ground. You might recognize dandelion leaves. The leaves in the picture above caught my attention recently. They were almost furry on top. I spent the rest of my walk trying to recall where I had seen those leaves before. It’s hard to remember the plant when you don’t have a flower! These are the leaves of plantain pussytoes, a flower that blooms in the spring.

Don’t forget to check the November flower page for a list of plants that are still in bloom in November. Let me know the interesting things you find on the trails this month!
