Tiny solitary blue flowers with four petals growing between the leaves.

Coral Honeysuckle

Trumpet-shaped flower that is red on the outside and yellow on the inside.

Hackberry-leaf Goldenrod

Flowers in a long, arching branch, on one side of the stem. The leaves have a rounded base (ovate). The leaves of Solidago rugosa var. aspera have leaves with a pointed base (elliptical).

Philadelphia Fleabane

One hundred or more white (sometimes pink or lavender) threadlike petals surrounding a yellow center. The leaves and stem are shaggy-hairy. The leaves are oval and clasp the stem.

Sicklepod

Nodding yellow flowers with 5 unequal petals. The leaves are pale underneath and have a slightly unpleasant smell. There is a small brown spike-like nectar gland close to the lowest pair of leaflets. The fruit is a long, thin bean pod that is curved into a sickle shape.

Starry Rosinweed

Large, yellow, daisy-like flowers with 8-20 petals and a yellow center. The leaves can be alternate  or opposite.
